這次暑假即將前往蘭嶼帶為期一個星期的科學營隊,上午講述關於水的科學。下午是英語繪本社團。兩個都是滿具有挑戰性的領域,上午的科學課程,讓我知道跨領域時,應該著重的方面,以及英語可以給的輔助。下午的英語繪本,以海洋議題融入的方式,語言變成一種實用的工具,用真實的內涵,引導學生去深層的思考。

蘭嶼是台灣最美麗的離島,希望能透過繪本的分享,喚醒蘭嶼的孩童,對於海的連結。

- divide the class into three groups (egg - baby - sea turtle)

WARM UP

破冰遊戲: 指魚叫名子。

PRESENTATION

free talk : 從學生經驗出發 (其中有蘭嶼的孩子分享看過海龜孵化並游向大海,相當勵志。)

Have you ever saw a sea turtle?

Where is it? How do you feel with that?

繪本介紹: INTO THE SEA

幫海龜取名子,拉近學生與海龜的距離,每個篇章利用關鍵字,提點故事內容,並適當停留問問

邀請孩子看完這本書之後,兩兩一組,從書本裡面抽選出元素,再更深入的撰寫,老師可以下去幫忙,讓孩子盡早決定主題開始運作,跟學生討論過後,一組學生決定討論海龜如何跟著洋流周遊世界,另外一組決定討論海龜的一生。

老師提供架構及文本給他們書寫。

AR 融入教學活動: IF I WERE ...

為了展現學生的同理心,所以使用AR 讓海龜說話,學生會看到一個情境,海龜會先說第一句話,學生必須易地而處,用海龜的想法,寫出第二個句子。
