這次去彰化擔任繪本研習的講師,每個老師除了要上課之外,也要合作產出教案,我何其幸運能夠觀看到五個精彩的教案。感謝老師們的認真,讓我有了很多點子。Bob the artist 是我會大推的一本書。繪畫風格簡單可愛同時還帶有點美感,故事內容風趣幽默讓人莞爾一笑。這本書可以有很多延伸的活動,像是: 像美術大師致敬,利用不同大師的獨特風格去創造一個文創商品。也可以跟學生探討 "大眾美" 的概念,文化延伸的話,可以延伸到世界各國不同的審美觀,或是根據時代不同有不同的審美觀。最後,讓學生討論 what is beauty? 可以唱唱歌 One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful / Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are 。 如果老師想延伸討論到如何面對霸凌,這本書也是滿好的切入點。

教學流程
第一堂課
warm up
use TPR to review body part.
Game QUICK DRAW
T invites three to five Ss to come to the front. each one take a chalk.
T points to one body part and the other students have to shout out load.
The students have to draw the body part as fast as they can. ( A+ : can spell the word )
presentation : "What can your body part do?"
T plays the youtube below and invites Ss to do the same action.
T shows a list of verb phrases and use TPR to interact with Ss

Game : can you do it?
T devides the class into two groups and numbers group 1.
group 1 takes turn to go up the stage and the other students standing on a mat.
No1 says, "I CAN ________, CAN YOU DO IT?" and do the action at the same time.
Group two have to mimic No 1 and says, "YES, I CAN DO IT." Then, No 2 take in charge.
Group 1 and group switch.

give each group a set of pictures and ask them to put into correct order

give each group a poster and invite them to paste key picture on the storyline and write some key words or sentences.
( they can copy some sentences from the book)
production : when you encounter problem, how can you solve the problem?
each group have to work together to choose a scene to write a simple drama
( scene 1 : when you hear others are talking something bad about you.
scene 2 : when you hear other are talking something good about you.
scene 3 : if you don't like the skinny leg? what will you do?
scene 4: if others like your beak, what will you do? )
1. who & when & where: the first three sentences have to tell about the basic information about the story
2. the problem : the fourth and fifth sentences have to talk about the problem ( what happened? )
3. the solution : how can you deal with the problem? how to solve? ( drama : four sentences )

Due to the climate change, people are likely to move to a new environment to live. Meanwhile, people have to develop / upgrade their body part to adjust the new environment.
Each group will be dispatch to a new place and you have to work together to think how can you upgrade people to the new environment? They might have a brand-new body part like wing, feather to help them to survive in the new environment.
task 1 use post-it to to think of one new body part which might useful for the new environment
task 2 : decorate the poster's background with different art skills you saw in the book. ( for example, Jackson Potlock )
