What If Everything Had Legs?

5. What If Everything Had   What If Everything Had Legs?

She and her mom are almost home, but this little girl is soooooo tired Her legs hurt, and even the lure of fresh cupcakes isn't enough for her to take another step. Why can't the house have legs and walk to them? For that matter, what if everything had legs? With her imagination running wild--and visions of worms with wiggly toes, rakes that jump into leaves, rolls that rock, and other high-stepping surprises--will a little girl's legs get the boost they need to carry her the rest of the way?

5. What If Everything Had   My Five Senses
Sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch--our five senses teach us about our world. Beloved author-illustrator Aliki's simple, engaging text and colorful artwork show young readers how they use their senses to smell a rose or play with a puppy.

5. What If Everything Had   Here Are My Hands

Ideally suited to the board-book format, Here Are My Hands invites very young children to respond spontaneously and creatively as they learn the parts of the body. The rhyming text and bold illustrations do more than name the eyes, ears, nose, and toes. By featuring children of many different backgrounds, the book quietly celebrates the commonality of people around the world.

5. What If Everything Had   My First Book About the Five Senses

Your brain uses our five senses -- sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch -- to figure out what's going on in the world around you. This book shows how your senses work by combining easy-to-understand explanations with detailed illustrations for you to color. You'll also find out about similarities and differences between human and animal sensory perception.
Discover the nervous system, the pathway of sensory information, and how neurons receive and send data. Read about synesthesia, an extreme form of perception that enables people to hear sounds in response to smell, feel something in response to sight, and experience other unusual sensory combinations. Learn about special animal senses that detect heat, provide night vision, and alert birds, fish, and mammals to when it's time to migrate. These and other fascinating aspects of the senses are described and illustrated with 46 full-page illustrations to color.

5. What If Everything Had  if 系列繪本

5. What If Everything Had    If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

If a hungry little mouse shows up on your doorstep, you might want to give him a cookie. And if you give him a cookie, he'll ask for a glass of milk. He'll want to look in a mirror to make sure he doesn't have a milk mustache, and then he'll ask for a pair of scissors to give himself a trim....

This book is a great first introduction to Mouse, the star of the If You Give... series and a perennial favorite among children. With its spare, rhythmic text and circular tale, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie is perfect for beginning readers and story time

5. What If Everything Had   This is Not My Hat

When a tiny fish shoots into view wearing a round blue top hat (which happens to fit him perfectly), trouble could be following close behind. So it’s a good thing that enormous fish won’t wake up. And even if he does, it’s not as though he’ll ever know what happened, will he. Visual humour swims to the fore as the bestselling Jon Klassen follows his break-out debut with another deadpan-funny tale.
