Conference Participation
FLTAs have the opportunity to be involved in the planning and execution of the FLTA Conference. While participation in the following conference activities is optional, it is highly encouraged as an opportunity to share your Fulbright experience or your culture! See the various ways you can participate below and indicate your preferences.
Culture Fair Presenter: We will have an International Culture Fair on Friday, December 13th. You can collaborate with FLTAs from your country to create a display booth.
Community Service Video Panelist: During a session on Friday, December 13th, you will have an opportunity to share your community service activities on your host campus or in your host communities through a prerecorded video.
Presenter/Speaker: There will be two breakout sessions on Saturday, December 14th, allowing FLTAs to give 10-15 minute presentations about their teaching experience in the U.S. in the first semester.
Talent Show Performer: After the final dinner on Saturday, December 14th, we will host a Talent Show. You can collaborate with fellow FLTAs or give a solo performance during the show.
Conference Volunteer: The conference is a big event and we will need assistance from you to keep things organized. We hope some of you will be willing to assist us as volunteers during the conference.
Conference Committee Member: We will organize FLTA committees to help us create a diverse and dynamic group of community service panelists and talent show participants. The committees will review the community service videos and talent show proposals to select the most competitive proposals to showcase at the conference. The Talent Show Committee will also be responsible for organizing the performers for the talent show and nominating an emcee for the event.
