English class can be fun and interesting through CLIL. Now it's thanksgiving and I would like to make a cranberry muffin with my students. Here is the lesson Plan

I will use one or two lessons to introduce Thanksgiving and make students into groups to write paragraph. Then, they will have a presentation by group.

I will use another class to teach them new words and the recipe of the cranberry muffin.

I will use two non-stop lesson to make the cranberry muffin. Fast finishers had to write about how does he / she feel about the lesson.  (Feedback)

Presentation:

new words : cup / teaspon / pack / water / sugar / yeast / fermentation / oil / flour / mold / plastc wrap / oven / 

1.3 cup water

2 teaspoon sugar

1 pack yeast 

3.5 cup of flour 

0.25 cup of oil 

2 teaspoon of salt 

1 wet cloth 

1 mold

1 plastic wrap 

Practice:  Listen and fill in the magical numbers

 Cranberry MUFFIN Recipe

1. put 1.3 cup water with 2 teaspoon sugar into a pot. Then heat up the sugar water to temperature 40
2. when the sugar water hits 40C, add a pack of yeast into it and stir slowly.
3.  Wait for five to ten minutes until it is full with little bubbles
4. Put 3.5 cup of flour and 2 teaspoon of salt into a big pot. Mix them
5. It takes three times to pour 0.25 cup of oil and 1.3cup yeast sugar water into the pot.
6. Mix them together and make it a dough
7. Get a wet cloth, covered on the pot and wait for an hour for its fermentation
8. Put the dough into the mold and cover with plastic wrap and wait for 20 minutes for its fermentation again.
9. Set the oven to 200C
10. When it’s heat up, put the mold into the oven and wait for 25 to 30 minutes

If you don't have a oven at school but you have a stove, maybe you can try pumpkin ball which is much easier. 

1. buy a pumpkin can

2. put the pumpkin into a pot and mix with flour and yeast 

3. make it as a dough and ferment it for 30 minutes

4. make the dough into small circle

5. put the butter on the pan and put the flat pumpkin ball 

6. add some sugar
