1. Introduction I would like to share a story of knot. Make a guess when is the first knot that show up in the history? The answer is 4000 years ago in the prehistory times. At that time, people used knots for different functions like fixing, connection and hanging. While we are in the wild, knowing how to tie a knot is very important. A good knot can save lives when you're dealing with a survival situation, performing first aid, and when working over heights or water
Today we are going to introduce five different knots for different functions. I hope after this seminar you can tell me at least two functions of knot and know how to tie a square knot or jar sling. In the end, we will ask you some questions about the seminar.

The presenter demonstrates square knot and explains its function. Then, the presenter invites the representative to give it a try. Finally, the representative goes back to her / his group to teach the other.
