US Writer's of Children's books @ 我就喜歡這樣的妳

For the outbreak of coronavirus, many kids have to stay at home; meanwhile, many of our favorite authors are offering online read-alouds and activities on social media. It's not only a nice chance for kids to practice reading alone but also a great chance to get to know more US Writers' of Children's books.

Author : Diane Alber

Diane Alber has had a passion for art since she held her first crayon at age two, which inspired her to subsequently earn a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Arizona State University. She is a wife and a mother of two young energetic children who love books. She became inspired to start writing and illustrating books because she saw a need for a book that inspired art and creativity in children. She also hopes that this book encourages parents to be proud of their children's art work no matter what it looks like!

Author : Hélène Boudreau

Hélène Boudreau grew up on an island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean but now writes fiction and non-fiction for kids from her land-locked home in Ontario, Canada. She has never time-travelled or saved an endangered bird, nor has she ever spotted a mermaid in the wild, but she believes mermaids are just as plausible as sea horses, flying fish, or electric eels. Her picture book, I Dare You Not to Yawn, is a 2013 Parents’ Choice Award winner and a 2014 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award winner.

Born 1957 in Fort Payne, Alabama, James Dean spent the majority of his early years watching his father, a self-taught artist, reproduce the art of the masters as a hobby. James, only in first grade, began drawing from cartoons such as Disney and Snoopy. Today, his art has sold in more than ninety galleries and shops across the United States. He has devoted his paintings to Pete the Cat, a scrawny black kitten James adopted in 1999 for years, and has turned his natural love for cats into his life's work. James published his first adult book, The Misadventures of Pete the Cat, a history of his artwork, in 2006. He illustrated his first self-published children's book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, in 2008, and the follow-up book, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, in 2011. James lives in Savannah, Georgia, with his wife, four cats, and one dog.
