I took composition this semester and one of the assignment is write a poem about you. Thus, I am going to introduce myself by a poem, "Where I am form..."

“Where I’m From” Poems

I am from one of the pearls that spread out in Pacific ocean.

I am from Kuroshio Current who takes creatures to visit and killed bunch of people want to offend.

I am from no where until Nautical age and gave a name called FORMOSA.

I am from Spain, Holland, Zhang, Qin for the amenability.

I am from indigenous, Han, Hakka that mixed together. 

I am from the forbidden island that was blockaded for centuries until Sino-Japanese War.

I am from Japan from rebellion to consent

I am from KMT that retreated in 1949 and named me as ROC

I am from Taiwan that bled in 228 for freedom.

I am from the consciousness of oppugnant, exaggeration, and restless. 

I am from the mountain, the sea, the modern city and local town.

I am from Amis, Dao, Taya, and Bunun, the real master of Formorsa

I am from hustle and bustle that non-stop till the late night.

I am from fast speed life style rushed all day long

I am from people who wants to escape but others want to jump in.

I am from the island rooted in variety,

Nourished with tribulation

Matured with diversity.
