Barbara received her M.A. in Applied English Linguistics at UW-Madison in 1981, and then went on to complete her Ph.D. in Linguistics here in 1989. She subsequently became a professor in the Linguistics Department at California State University, Fresno. Her work focuses on English, ESL reading, language attitudes, and peace education.

This week we are going to review sentences related to number like "你多大? 我三十岁。 How old are you? I am thirty years old." "今天星期几? 今天星期一 What day is today? Today is Monday." " 今天几月几号? 今天一月三十号 What date is today?  Today is Jan 30."  Move on names and self-introduction. And we will have a simple introduction of Chinese New Year.

Today I would like to share the Adventure Education in Taiwan. There is a non-profit foundation called "CITY PEOPLE" which worked hard in the field of experiential learning and adventrue education.

Taiwan, an Island on Pacific Ocean, has over than one hundred mountains that over 3000 meters high. We have plenty of water during summer time that is suitable for water activities. The following things you can do / expreience in Taiwan :
