在教學初期,當學生尚未熟悉心智圖的概念時,我會利用 AI 工具生成圖像作為示範,協助學生理解如何組織與呈現內容。過去即使使用 ChatGPT 付費版本進行圖片生成,仍偶有不夠精準的情況;自從新北市提供教師使用 Google AI Pro 後,我透過自建的私有 Gem 生成圖片,整體準確度明顯提升,也更符合我的教學需求與設計理念。


運用心智圖提升學生詞彙記憶之理論基礎

在語言學習中,運用心智圖(mind mapping)有助於提升學生的記憶與理解,心智圖結合圖像與語文的雙重編碼、結構化知識組織以及降低認知負荷等優勢,能有效提升學生的詞彙學習效果與長期記憶能力。

Allan Paivio 提出的雙編碼理論(Dual Coding Theory)指出,人類在處理資訊時,會同時透過「語文系統」與「圖像系統」進行編碼;當學習內容同時以文字與圖像呈現時,能形成雙重記憶路徑,進而提升記憶效果(Paivio, 1986)。心智圖正是結合關鍵詞與圖像的工具,有助於加深學生對單字的記憶。此外,Tony Buzan 所提出的心智圖概念強調以放射狀結構組織資訊,透過關聯與分類促進理解與記憶,能有效協助學習者建立知識架構(Buzan, 1993)。這與語言學習中單字的語意網絡建構相符,有助於學生將零散詞彙轉化為有組織的知識系統。

從認知負荷理論來看,John Sweller 指出學習者的工作記憶容量有限,若資訊呈現方式能降低認知負荷,將有助於學習成效(Sweller, 1988)。心智圖透過分類與視覺化呈現,能減少學生在處理資訊時的負擔,使其更容易理解與記憶單字之間的關係。
