Georgia Southern University is located in the state of Georgia. It's has three campus, from biggest to smallest, Stateboro campus, Armstrong campus in Savanah, Liberty campus in Hinesville.
Stateboro campus : It's the oldest and largest campus spans 900acres in Statesboro. the campus is home to more than 20000 students.
Armstrong campus: a 268-acre arboretum campus just a minutes away from Savanah hostorical downtown where have a short drive from beaches of Tybee Island. the campus offers more than 100 degree programs and host more than 6000 students.
Liberty campus: the campus is located just a stone's throw from Fort Stewart, a census-designated place and United States Army post in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is equipped to serve local and military-affiliated students.
how to find an apartment? (from the nearest to the farest)
GSU urged all the Freshmen have to live in the dorm and others can find apartments on their own, If you want to find an apartment near the campus, there are a few things you have to notice:
First, the location and the transportation. Southern Express has a few stop near the stadium. You can find the route on GSU website.
Second, the housing policy. Each apartment has different rules. For example, there is an age policy in Monarch 301. That is if you are over 27, you have to find your roommates on your own.
Third, extra fee like community fee, housing insurance, water, electricity, trash and so on.
Finally, you have to bring your own sheet, pillow, and quilt and think twice before you make the final decision due to the application fee is can’t be refund.

First, now that you have signed your agreement, you have completed the resident portion of the leasing process. In some cases, we are just waiting for your guarantor to review and complete the lease agreement in full. In the event you should not find a guarantor that meets our guidelines, you could be subject to a one-time deposit ( 500$). This deposit is required prior to move in.

It's has two apartments, one is cambridge palm (higher price with gate), the other is cambridge pine (lower price with more open area) Living in the cambridge, you have to bring everything you need. they just offer you basic items like a bed, a desk, a chair, a closet. there is no sheet, no pillow, no cook items that you have to prepared on your own.

If you want to move in a nice apartment but you are looking for a lower rent, I would recommend you to visit the Georgia Southern University subleasing Facebook page. You have to be very careful while negotiate the detail of rent and keep good judgement.

where to live before you move in
The move in date is 0809~0810 which be decided by the apartment. if you come earlier you have to live in the hotel. both two hotels i have lived for a few days. You can book these hotels with apps like expedia, hotel.com which is very convenient.
the cheapest: super 8
Super 8 is accross from one of the entrance of the statesboro campus that is super convenient to get into the campus. if you have something to contact with the campus, maybe you can choose super 8.
the reception is nice and willing to answer question. there are a few restaurants next to the hotel. the sheet of the room is neat and clean. but i don't really like the smell of the room and when you are in shower the water pressure is kind of small. besides, it's kind of motel that you will see different people every day.
my favorite : days inn
if you seek for nice quality with moderate price then i will recommend you stay in Days inn. first of all, the location is perfect. there is a big market called food court just next to the hotel and the are some restaurants near the hotel that you don't have to worried about what do you eat for dinner. Second, the service is nice. the receptiionists are willing to help you with trivia things and be happy to answer all the quesitons. third, i really like the room which is very neat and clean. However, it's takes some times to walk into the campus but it's still a nice place to stay.
