As a FLTA in GSU, I took COMPOSITION 1 for rhe fall semester and we use two main material, one is the handbook, "the little red writing book", and the other is the novel " tuesdays with Morrie " and i am going to record what i have learned from this book : Tuesdays with Morrie - an old man, a young man and life's greatest lesson
1. The curriculum : the meaning of life
1979 - Mitch's graduation ceremony
2. the syllabus
a death of a prominent doctor of sociology and an amazing dancers in 1994.
He got asthma at his 60th, he hard walking at 70th due to ALS.
"There was no known cure."
"Shouldn't the world stop? Don't they know what has happened to me?" ( thigh - trunk - tube in the throat )
"Do I wither up and disappear, or do I make the best of my time left?"
3. the students
Mitch didn't keep his promise to keep in touch with his professor and he gave up his dream due to facing many beloved deaths (milestone). Thus, he started his job as a reporter, sports columnist and got married.
4. the audiovisual
ABC-TV's interview with Professor Morrie, the title is, " A professor's final course- his own death" (the host is Ted Koppel)
traced back in 1976 the first class of Mitch, Morrie said, " I hope that one day you will think of me as your friends."

Mitch is heading to London for Wimbledom and the press went on a strike at that time.
"The culture we have does not make people feel good about themselves, and you have to be strong enough to sau if the culture doesn't work, don't but it."
"So many people walk around with a meaningless life they seem half-asleep, even when they are busy doing things they think important. This is because they are chasing the wrong things. The way you got meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you and devote yourself to creating something that gives your purposes and meaning. "
