GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY has three campus and the biggest one is statesboro campus. However, the transportation in Statesboro is not that convenience but there are some ways for you to transfer in the campus.

Southern Express runs throughout the Statesboro Campus during classes, final exams, football game days and Spring commencement.  Southern Express does not run when classes are not in session, during campus holidays or between semesters. There is no regular transit service during the weekend.

Monday – Thursday:  Buses begin at 7 a.m. weekdays. After 4 p.m., a reduced number of buses will run the route until 9 p.m., Friday’s bus service ends at 6 p.m. 

The Blue Route will serve Lanier Drive residents, stop at the University Store and two stops on Forest Drive.

The Gold Route will run from the Stadium to the University Store stopping at the RAC and the stops on Forest Drive each way.

The Sweetheart Shuttle Route will only service the Stadium stop, College of Education Circle stop and Sweetheart Circle stop from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday and 8:30 am – 2:00 pm on Friday

 the new shuttle bus between the Statesboro campus and the Armstrong campus in Savannah

GSU is a large university and it has three campus. You can take the shuttle bus between the Armstrong campus and Statesbor campus. The shuttle bus is starting Monday, August 19, here is the updated departure schedule and the campus it departs from:  

Statesboro — 6:45 a.m.
Armstrong — 8:15 a.m.
Statesboro — 9:45 a.m.
Armstrong — 11:15 a.m.
Statesboro — 1:30 p.m.
Armstrong — 3:00 p.m.
Statesboro — 4:30 p.m.
Armstrong — 6:00 p.m.

As a reminder, this new shuttle service is free for students, faculty and staff of Georgia Southern University. The shuttle departs from the Russell Union on the Statesboro campus and from the Sports Center parking lot near the Student Union on Savannah’s Armstrong campus.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the new shuttle can transport 24 passengers and is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any group of ten or more traveling together may contact the Office of Parking and Transportation to reserve a charter service between campuses. Free Wi-Fi is available for shuttle passengers. 

 

ZIPCAR (CAR-SHARING SYSTEM)

if you have a driver license in Georgia you can download the app and rent a zipcar in campus. To use Zipcars, simply register as a member, reserve a car online or by phone, use your Zipcard to enter the car, and drive away. When you’re done, return the car to the same location where you picked it up.

uber or lyft  

please download the app and set a credit card with it or you can but prepaid card in most shops. 

if you have luggue i would recommend to give the driver some tips ( one dollar per person)

 

buy a second-hand bike 

the price goes from 50 to 100. if you need a lock with the bike, you need to pay 7 dollars for the lock.
